Debit Card Security

If we suspect fraudulent ATM or debit card use, we'll call you to validate the legitimacy of your transactions. Your participation in responding to our call is critical to prevent potential risk and avoid restrictions we may place on the use of your card.

Due to the increase in fraudulent activity with debit cards, we have enhanced our debit card transaction monitoring system. Our debit card transaction monitoring system may be causing your ‘credit’ transactions (signature transactions) to be denied. If you experience an issue with ‘credit’ transactions (signature transactions), please try the transaction as ‘debit’, and you will be prompted to enter your PIN. This option may be very helpful when you are not in your ‘home state’ and the transaction is denied. If you continue to have denied transactions with your Visa debit card, please use our online banking system to check your account balance and recent transactions.
